If you haven’t heard yet, we’re the quaint little gathering places by the river you’ve been searching for in East Tennessee! A place where you can come to enjoy the art of craft brewing with friends and family and embrace our small-town communities. Both of our locations offer a huge selection of beer, cider, mead and more on constant rotation to feature some amazing artisan brewers across the region and country.

Riverside Taphouse was born out of owners’, Cheri Tinney and Michael Howell, involvement in the Downtown Elizabethton Farmer’s Market prior to opening the business. With the seasonal success of the market, the two recognized a need for more social and economic opportunities in Elizabethton’s downtown district. The idea of a taproom was a no-brainer since they had observed the positive impact of this type of establishment within countless other small communities around the country while traveling. With a lot of help and involvement from the local community, the Elizabethton location opened in May of 2019 and after several years expanded to a second location in Bluff City in November of 2022.
